Flossmoor Station Brew Day

Here are some pics of my brew day at Flossmoor Station Brewery. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Matt and brewing my Biere Bella recipe. Matt is a cool guy who knows how to brew awesome beer. Everybeer that I tried down there was great! I also got a chance to meet Michael Pelter, president of the B.O.S.S. Homebrew Club as well as a few other members. Everyone was great and it made the experience that much better having people to talk beer with.

Congrats Brian! That beer looks AWESOME! And to brew with the big boys is a special treat!

It really was! That beer in the pics that we're drinking was a 3 year old barrel aged belgian-style sour fermented with raspberries. It was a treat for sure.

I assume you are the Brian Richards that entered a beer in this February's Babble Beer Club Leap Beer competition. I collected a lot of the leftover cases after the competition (I am the club treasurer). We have kept them all refrigerated since February so most of the beers are close to the way they tasted that day. I just popped a weisenbock of yours today and it was very enjoyable indeed - quite a nice surprise. Thanks!
